<font color="#6B6E6B" face="Trebuchet MS, Trebuchet MS" size="+1"> <b>Q: What's the next step?</b><br> <b>A:</b> Heh...<a href="balance.html" target="_blank">here</a> it is. See you in a year!<br> <b>Q: What's the last thing you finished?</b><br> <b>A:</b> The <a href="index.html" target="_blank">new website</a> (and I fixed the links for this one!), just finished it this evening. My goal was to make something much more simple and BOLD.<br> <b>Q: What did you do this year?</b><br> <b>A:</b> I completed three canvasses in a space of less than three months. They're not too very big...2 ft x 3 ft...but they're big enough. I've chosen to do them with acrylic and it's been a real learning experience for me, for two reasons: <UL TYPE="circle"> <li>For the <a href="wet001.html" title="Thistle Brae" target="_blank">first painting</a>, I had to use a pallette I have never used before...muted creams and red-browns mostly. (The other two are in my more oft-used combos of cyan//red and <a href="wet.html" title="Blaze" target="_blank">blue//orange</a>.) <li>I had to make the brutal mental shift from straight black and white comicking to painting. THAT was an experience, I can tell you..! </UL> <br> I have also been teaching myself to draw comics. It has been a long, long struggle with rocky beginnings, and I still have much to master...but I feel that I am <i>finally</i> ready to launch the comic series I've been working on all this time...I look forward to the next year with excitement! ...I've also made original comics for a local magazine for more than two years...the <a href="things.html" target="_blank">Things Fall Apart</a> series.<br> <br> Aside from that, I've been doing my best to hone my skills at <a href="digi.html" target="_blank">digital art</a> (and as a webmistress for this site). </font>
